Executive Summary

Platelet diagnostics firm Accumetrics has appointed Timothy Still chief executive officer, adding to his existing posts of president and chief operating officer. Mr Still has over 18 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development in healthcare and medical diagnostics. Before joining San Diego, California-based Accumetrics, he was executive vice-president and chief commercial officer for diagnostics company HemoSense (San Jose, California), which was acquired by Inverness Medical Innovations in 2007. Accumetrics' previous CEO, Steven Frankel, stepped down in September. The company markets the VerifyNow System for the assessment of platelet function in patients receiving antiplatelet therapies.
