The UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has created a dedicated obstetrics and gynaecology safety information section in its website. It is only the fourth specialism-specific section, the others being: ophthalmology, cardiology and orthopaedics. The section's main page acts as a portal for adverse event reporting in the specialism, which includes technology ranging "from vaginal plates and endometrial ablation equipment to cardiotocographs". It also offers a specialism-specific e-mail alert service. See: http://www.mhra.gov.uk/Safetyinformation/Healthcareproviders/Obstetricsandgynaecology/index.htm
