Executive Summary

The Asian Harmonization Working Party is seeking comments on its draft work plan for 2009-2011, which was released following a meeting held in Shenzhen, China, on 20 December 2008. The plan sets out objectives relating to the common submission dossier template, the safety alert dissemination system and the implementation of a single nomenclature system, among other issues. The AHWP, whose aim is to harmonise medical device regulation in Asia, is seeking comments and suggestions by 28 February1.
