FDA is issuing a new draft guidance Dec. 15 recommending the use of an FDA-licensed nucleic acid test on living donors of cells, tissue and tissue-based products for evidence of infection with West Nile Virus. It updates from a 2013 draft guidance on the same topic that was never finalized.
