Executive Summary

Medicare agency opens internally-requested National Coverage Analysis June 4 on the use of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging with the radioisotope sodium fluoride F-18 to identify bone metastasis of cancer. Comments are due to CMS July 4. The agency plans to release a proposed decision memo by Dec. 4, and to make a final determination by March 4, 2010
