Tri-Century Hospital Supply recall

This article was originally published in The Gray Sheet

Executive Summary

Multiple types of the firm's Centurion instrument trays and kits are being recalled due to weak package sealing that may affect the sterility of the devices they contain, FDA says in an April 3 Class I recall notice. The products were manufactured in November 2008 and distributed through Jan. 7, 2009. Tri-State notified its distributors and customers on Jan. 14 to remove the products from their inventory. The trays contained products used in chest tube insertion, peripherally inserted central venous catheter insertion and port access procedures
