Executive Summary

Firm announces July 30 the launch of its Resonance metallic ureteral stent to relieve blockage of urine flow in patients undergoing prostate and ovarian cancer treatment. The stent, 510(k) cleared in May, also is indicated for most other causes of extrinsic ureteral compression. Resonance can withstand up to 25 times more extrinsic compression than plastic stents, which allows it to remain in the patient for up to 12 months and minimizes patient discomfort and costs associated with numerous stent changes, Cook says...
