Executive Summary
First round of Medicare competitive bidding for durable medical equipment opens May 15. Suppliers of devices in 10 product categories (including wheelchairs, oxygen equipment and respiratory assist devices) in the 10 metropolitan areas outlined in CMS' April 2 final rule have until July 13 to submit bids and until Aug. 31 to gain supplier accreditation.
