Executive Summary
Aesthetic laser firm Syneron will boost its dental portfolio with fluoridation and tooth whitening devices under a technology development pact with Israeli start-up Fluorinex Active, announced April 12. The fluoridation device technology delivers fluoride ions to tooth enamel via an electro-chemical technique that, unlike other electro-chemical based fluoride systems, does not pass electric current through patient tissue. The Fluorinex tooth whitening system is based on the same technology. The deal includes exclusive, worldwide distribution rights to the tooth whitening system for 10 years.
