Orthofix names new CEO: Chief Operating Officer Alan Milinazzo will be promoted to the orthopedic firm's top spot effective April 1. He will replace Charles Federico, who will remain a director of Orthofix. The company has not yet named a successor to the COO position. Milinazzo joined Orthofix as its first-ever operations executive in September 2005 after three years at Medtronic, where he served as VP of its vascular, peripheral and coronary business units. He previously worked at Boston Scientific for 12 years in a variety of roles, including VP of marketing.
