Imagecast: IDX Systems launches the IDX Imagecast picture archiving and communications solutions (PACS) for orthopedics Nov. 28 at the RSNA conference in Chicago. Imagecast allows surgeons to plan orthopedic surgery with precise digital measurements and overlaying templates. It provides greater accuracy than traditional methods of mapping surgery on film images, which can be distorted by the angle of projection and variation in the magnification of different x-rays, IDX explains.
