Executive Summary
NCI-funded trial comparing accuracy of whole-body MRI imaging with conventional imaging in detecting pediatric malignancies will use MRI scanners of 1.5 tesla or higher, including Siemens and GE systems. Preliminary results are anticipated in 18-24 months for the international American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ACRIN) trial, which began Oct. 15 and is expected to include at least 15 sites.
