Executive Summary
President's Information Technology Advisory Committee unanimously recommends adopting the SNOMED-CT system to standardize electronic health records without altering timetable for ICD-10 implementation. "We want to be clear that in no way, shape or form do we intend to slow down the adoption of ICD-10s," Health & IT Subcommittee co-chair Jonathan Javitt, MD, stated at the June 17 meeting in Arlington, Va.
