R2 ImageChecker mammography system infringes Scanis, Inc. '637 patent, July 1 suit filed by Scanis and iCAD, Inc. alleges. According to the suit, the Scanis technology dates back to 1989 when the company (then Sterometrix) created the first computer-aided detection system for breast cancer, four years before R2 was founded.
