Executive Summary

Ninth Global Harmonization Task Force Conference is rescheduled for May 12-16, 2002 in Singapore, GHTF announces Nov. 27. The conference, which was originally scheduled for Oct. 11-16, 2001 in Barcelona, Spain, was postponed as a result of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks (1"The Gray Sheet" Sept. 17, 2001, p. 6). The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Medical Devices Seminar will be held immediately following the GHTF conference. Separately, GHTF's SG 2 has posted two vigilance documents on the GHTF web site, a final document on format and information for global medical device competent authority reports and a proposed document on elements that should be included in a universal manufacturer report form...
