Executive Summary
Senate Judiciary/Antitrust, Business Rights and Competition Subcommittee Chairman Herb Kohl (D-Wisc.) and Ranking member Mike DeWine (R-Ohio) announce they will hold a hearing this year on GPOs and their effect on competition in the medical technology marketplace. The Medical Device Manufacturers Association volunteers to help the subcommittee investigate "the anti-competitive business practices" of some of the larger GPOs.
