Executive Summary
FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health is awarded seven "Hammer" awards from the White House's National Partnership for Reinvention of Government, which is overseen by Vice President Al Gore. Six of the awards are intended to recognize the reengineering efforts of the following CDRH reengineering teams: product development protocol, 510(k), 515(b), recalls, regulations and standards. The seventh goes to the Division of Small Manufacturers Assistance for partnering with industry associations to conduct workshops on a series of issues during the past few years.
