Use of transmyocardial revascularization (TMR) in conjunction with coronary artery bypass graft procedures significantly reduces early mortality rates compared to patients receiving CABG alone, according to results of a study presented Nov. 9 at the American Heart Association's scientific sessions in Dallas.
