Executive Summary

Justice Department clears the company's acquisition of imaging, biomedical and laboratory equipment servicing firm InnoServ Technologies. As a condition, GE has agreed to settle a 1996 antitrust lawsuit filed by DoJ in Montana and to divest InnoServ's Prevu diagnostic service materials following completion of the deal. The civil suit had challenged a GE practice "under which healthcare providers who were also in the business of performing third-party medical equipment service were not eligible to license GE's proprietary advanced service materials," GE explains
