Executive Summary
Imatron: Plans to market its Ultrafast CT scanner in the U.S. and Canada through its own direct sales force beginning April 1, 1998, when a new business agreement between Imatron and Siemens Medical Systems goes into effect, Imatron says. The scanner currently is marketed by Siemens in the U.S., Canada, Europe and India under the Evolution XP brand name. Under the terms of the new agreement, Siemens will continue to serve its Evolution XP customer base by offering upgrades that result from a 1995 collaborative research agreement between the firms ("The Gray Sheet" April 10, In Brief).
