Guidant Ventak Mini III: First implant of the next-generation automatic implantable cardioverter defibrillator takes place Oct. 21 in Madrid, Spain. The defibrillator/single-chamber bradycardia pacing device is designed for subcutaneous pectoral implantation and employs new Quick Check and Quick Notes features, designed to permit downloading of stored patient information in less than two minutes.
