INSTRUMENTATION LABORATORY TO GAIN POINT-OF-CARE IVD INSTRUMENT LINE via acquisition of Mallinckrodt Sensor Systems from parent firm Mallinckrodt Group. The definitive agreement announced Sept. 9 would position IL as the only supplier of "multisample critical care" blood gas and electrolyte instruments designed for use at the point-of-care as well as by central laboratories, IL says.
