ESC Medical Systems: Submits 510(k) to FDA for its Epilight laser-based hair removal system, the Yokneam, Israel firm announces Aug. 21. The Epilight uses ESC's "proprietary intense pulsed laser technology to selectively eliminate hair follicles without damaging the skin," ESC explains. The computerized system allows physicians to perform epilation procedures on various hair and skin color combinations.
