Bausch & Lomb: Appoints James Kanaley, currently senior VP and global business manager for lens care products, to the position of senior VP and president-North American Vision Care. Additionally, Carl Sassano, senior VP and global business manager for contact lenses, is named to the position of senior VP and global business manager-Vision Care. The appointments are in accord with B&L's "global vision care strategy," announced in April ("The Gray Sheet" April 8, In Brief), intended to create a single U.S. vision care product business and "leverage the competitive advantages inherent in the company's soft and rigid gas permeable contact lens, lens care, general and prescription eye care businesses on a worldwide basis"...
