Advanced NMR Systems: Firm's board votes to terminate plans to buy the remaining stake in 61%-owned subsidiary Advanced Mammography Systems. The firms announced plans for a merger in February. Separately, Advanced Mammography Systems says it has completed a $3 mil. private placement of 4% convertible debentures due Dec. 1, 1998. Net proceeds from the placement will "accelerate the completion of product development" for the company's Aurora MR Breast Imaging system and will fund "a worldwide product launch of the system," cleared by FDA on Feb. 26 ("The Gray Sheet" March 4, I&W-4)...
