HOWMEDICA SEES WAY INTO IMAGE-GUIDED SURGERY MARKET WITH LEIBINGER PURCHASE completed earlier in January for undisclosed terms. Howmedica's parent company Pfizer announced Jan. 12 finalization of the deal, under which Leibinger Companies becomes a division of Howmedica. Leibinger's products include image-guided surgery equipment and a broad line of surgical instruments and implantable devices for oral and craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgery.
