Sunrise Technologies v. ADT: American Dental Technologies' motion for a new trial in a breach of contract suit with Sunrise is denied. The action by the Alameda County Superior Court follows the July award to Sunrise of $729,000 in damages arising from the firm's claims for breach of contract by ADT. The court also has awarded Sunrise $211,000 in costs and legal fees. The case, originally filed in Oct. 1993, arose from a dispute between the firms over the termination of a dental product manufacturing and distribution deal. A separate action between the two firms over Sunrise's MicroPrep technology is ongoing ("The Gray Sheet" Nov. 21, 1994, p. 13)...
