CHIRON/ORTHO, ORGANON TEKNIKA SETTLE HCV TEST EUROPEAN PATENT LITIGATION with an agreement that permanently bars Organon Teknika from selling hepatitis C virus assays in Europe that infringe patents held by Chiron. Chiron and Ortho also are getting a compensatory lump-sum payment from Organon Teknika for past infringement. The undisclosed sum will be divided between the two firms.
