DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING EQUIPMENT UPGRADABILITY, PRICING GUARANTEES are prerequisites to hospital purchases in the current cost-conscious environment, Pamela Parker, director of capital equipment purchasing for Premier Health Alliance, said Sept. 18 at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association annual meeting in Vail, Colorado. "Hospitals won't even talk to companies that can't give them an upgrade assurance for the next five to ten years," Parker said. "And they want guaranteed pricing."
