NIST ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY GRANT PROGRAM WILL FACE "HARD QUESTIONS" on proposed funding increases during the Senate appropriations process, the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportations Committee says in the budget resolution passed by the Senate on May 25. "At a time when other federal science and technology programs are facing flat or declining budget profiles, the committee will ask hard questions" about the growth of the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology.
