TISSUE ENGINEERING R&D GRANT PROGRAM BEING CONSIDERED BY NIST, staffers from the National Institute of Science and Technology's Advanced Technology Program said at a Nov. 22 tissue engineering workshop at NIST. ATP staffers have developed a draft proposal for a tissue engineering grant program under NIST's Advanced Technology Program and are soliciting "white papers" from industry to help justify the program. The white papers should address topics such as "how tissue engineering can benefit mankind and the U.S. economy," ATP's Edith Schwartz told the conference.
