Distributor of medical/surgical supplies enters multi-year contract with Samaritan Health System and HealthPartners of Southern Arizona that is expected to generate $50 mil. in annual sales volume for Owens & Minor. Under the agreement, effective Jan. 1, 1995, O&M will deliver supplies directly to end users, eliminating the need for Samaritan and HealthPartners to store products.
