Executive Summary
Hospital organization VHA, Inc. will modify its med/surg distribution program Jan. 1, 1995 to include Baxter as an authorized distribution agent. Baxter joins VHA distribution agents Owens & Minor, Shared Services Systems, and Burrows, which sell medical and surgical supplies to VHA members at discount prices. Under the program, all 1,057 VHA health care facilities must commit to one of the four distributors by March 31, 1995. In becoming a distribution agent, Baxter agreed to "distribute a number of the products it manufactures through the other ADAs to better serve the needs of" VHA members, the hospital group says
