REP. TOWNS ASKS FDA FOR TMJ-RELATED DOCUMENTATION in a letter sent to FDA Commissioner David Kessler Sept. 14. Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.), chairman of the House Government Operations/Human Resources and Intergovernmental Relations Subcommittee, asked for information on adverse incident reports and FDA inspections related to temporomandibular joint implants, as well as data regarding the regulation of Silastic TMJ implants and TMJ materials manufactured by Dow Coming.
