Firms settle patent litigation filed in September 1991 by Diasonics ("The Gray Sheet" Sept. 23, 1991, In Brief). Under the terms of the settlement, announced May 10, the two firms agreed to "a license and a cross-license of certain patents and other arrangements with respect to their patent portfolios." Acuson also agreed to pay Diasonics an undisclosed amount. Diasonics' suit alleged infringement of two patents relating to "simultaneous record and display of B-mode and M-mode" ultrasound images, Diasonics says.
