James Gallogly joins company as president and chief operating officer. Gallogly, 45, most recently served as president and CEO of hearing aid device firm Resound, Inc. Former Sofamor/Danek President Ron Pickard, 45, will continue to serve as CEO and becomes chairman of the board. Former Chairman L.D. Beard, 61, will remain on the board of directors. Gallogly "will assume direct responsibility for product development, marketing, manufacturing, corporate finance, administration and regulatory affairs," allowing Pickard to "devote more time to strategic planning, acquisitions and international operations," the CEO says in a March 2 press release
