In a May 27 press release, the firm says it has created the division in order to emphasize "technologies that offer health care providers and receivers alike the greatest medical diagnostic capabilities." Effective June 1, the division will be headed by Mark Silverman, who most recently was executive vice president and general manager of Hitachi Medical Systems America.
