Executive Summary

Plans to introduce disposable single-use contact lenses "later in the year." The lenses, which are designed to be worn for one day and then discarded, will be targeted to individuals who seek "the ultimate in convenience and ease of use," according to a B&L release. The lenses will be added to B&L's SeeQuence line, which currently includes lenses that are replaced on a weekly or biweekly basis. The single-use lenses will be priced at a premium to the current SeeQuence offerings and dispensed in monthly supplies. B&L says that release of the lenses is "dependent on securing requisite approvals".
