Comment period on proposed call for premarket approval applications for saline-filled breast implants has been extended by 30 days to April 8, according to a March 10 Federal Register notice. FDA also plans to extend the comment period on its proposed call for testicular prosthesis PMAs to May 14; FDA initially planned to accept comments on the testicular implant proposal until March 15. Mentor petitioned FDA to extend both comment periods to July 10 ("The Gray Sheet" March 1, In Brief).
