Cook Tightens its Embrace of Women's Health
Executive Summary
Women's health has long been among the most vexing markets for medical device companies, large and small. For major device companies, many industry executives largely attribute this problem to the fact that women's health is not a monolithic product market, but made up instead of many smaller niches. Other companies, however, take a contrarian approach. Cook Group Inc. is the most recent example, with its decision to create a new division dedicated exclusively to women's health.
